David S. Linthicum, CTO—Blue Mountain Labs

Lance Speck, Vice President & General Manager, Integration Products—Pervasive Software

Lance SpeckLance Speck is Vice President and General Manager, Integration Products for Pervasive, responsible for the growth of the data integration business unit and its strategic leadership position in delivering innovative on premise and cloud-based integration. In more than a decade at Pervasive, Lance has served in a variety of senior management roles, most recently as Senior Director of Sales, Marketing and Services for Pervasive Integration Products. Lance joined Pervasive Software in 2001 from United Devices, where he was a senior account executive focused on providing grid solutions and distributed computing software and services. Prior to United Devices, Lance worked as an Account Executive at Pervasive including moving to San Jose in 1999 to open an office in Cupertino. Lance worked for Lotus Development Corporation prior to and after the acquisition by IBM.


Mike Hoskins, CTO, EVP and GM, Big Data and Analytics—Pervasive Software

Mike HoskinsPervasive CTO Michael Hoskins directs the Pervasive Big Data and Analytics team, and evangelizes Pervasive’s innovations in big data challenges, including cloud-based and on-premises data management and integration. Mike received the AITP Austin chapter's 2007 Information Technologist of the Year Award for his leadership in developing Pervasive DataRush™, a highly parallelized framework to leverage multicore. Mike, a Distinguished and Centennial Alumnus of Ohio’s Bowling Green State University, is a respected technology thinker who speaks worldwide. He participated in the “Open Standards and Cloud Computing” panel at the 2009 Annual Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, the “Scaling the Database in the Cloud” panel at Structure 2010, and the “Many Faces of Map Reduce—Hadoop and Beyond” panel at Structure Big Data 2011. Discussion topics include applying parallelism to tackle big data, gaining price/performance efficiency in the Hadoop ecosystem, Software as a Service and cloud-based data services.

Steve Padgett, Vice President of Information Technology—Pervasive Software

Steve PadgettSteve brings more than 20 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure to his role as Vice President of Information Technology. As Pervasive’s Vice President of Information Technology, Steve is focused on maximizing the value of information systems, evaluating leading-edge technology and delivering innovative ideas for maintaining flexible, business- and customer-focused solutions. He comes with extensive knowledge gained from executive roles including serving as the first Chief Information Officer at Tivoli Systems and Chief Technology Officer for Supportkids, Inc., where he established technology infrastructures that supported revenue and business growth.

Earlier, Steve distinguished himself as a Senior Manager at Dell Computer Corporation, where he was instrumental in laying the IT foundation that supported rapid growth while controlling costs. He began his management career in consulting at Price Waterhouse Coopers in multiple markets.

Steve graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Austin with an M.B.A. in information systems management and a B.B.A. in communications.


Geoji George, Senior Director of Product Management and Strategy—Pervasive Software

Geoji GeorgeGeoji is responsible for Pervasive’s product strategy and management for Pervasive Data Integrator, Cloud Integration, Data Quality and community-based Galaxy, as well as the Enablement Services team – which helps Pervasive’s key partners – and develop product solutions. Prior to joining Pervasive, Geoji served as Director of Product Management/Marketing for SaaS based Coremetrics and in a variety of product management and development positions at Nortel Networks.

David W. Chivers, Vice President, CIO—VSE Corporation

David ChiversAs Chief Information Officer (CIO), Dave has more than 25 years of experience leading technology operations and initiatives across large-scale, complex organizations. He is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all development and maintains of VSE's information technology infrastructure and providing IT capability to VSE clients and projects. Dave and his IT staff provide proactive solutions to VSE's IT challenges, including the secure and efficient linking of VSE headquarters with field offices from Virginia to Hawaii, and around the world. Dave provides critical competitive intelligence affecting current or new business opportunities as well as providing technical support for business affairs. He is a retired Marine and enjoyed a 20-year career with the USMC. During his service, he performed progressively responsible duties, including significant responsibility for USMC IT systems.


Beth Weeks, Senior Vice President of Engineering—Zilliant

Beth WeeksBeth is responsible for developing innovative, scalable and world class software products at Zilliant. She brings 27 years of experience building and leading highly productive software development organizations. Over 15 years success developing collaborative and effective global teams leveraging offshore partners. Prior to Zilliant, she was instrumental in leading Vignette Corporation through tremendous growth from small startup organization to an enterprise market leader in the web content management market. Additionally, Beth held several engineering leadership roles while working for Intergraph Corporation in Huntsville, Alabama. Beth graduated magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky with degrees in both computer science and mathematics. Beth is an active contributor to software engineering academia by serving as an active member of Advisory Council to Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Kentucky and University of Texas Center of Lifelong Engineering Education.


Bill Hall, Senior Database Engineering—VSE Corporation

William HallBill has more than 15 years of direct experience implementing, developing, enhancing and supporting Client/Server and Web-Based Applications. He has explicit expertise in integrations interfaces, data management and the administration of a wide spectrum of data integration solutions. At VSE Corporation, Bill is responsible for all Pervasive Data Integration Solutions, from planning, implementation and testing to post-deployment support.


Samuel Poozhikala, Vice President of Customer Solutions—StratApps

Sam PoozhikalaAs VP of Customer Solutions at StratApps, Samuel (Sam) Poozhikala is responsible for driving innovative solutions and products in analytics, EIM and big data domains. With more than 20 years of experience, Sam has held roles in Strategy, Management, Architecture, and Delivery of analytics solutions for Fortune 100 companies, as well as small-medium businesses, worldwide. Starting his technology career at CMC Ltd, India (now part of TCS) in 1989, Sam progressed to become a top-notch industry visionary and technology expert in Business Intelligence and related domains. He was also involved in spearheading the Enterprise Commerce Solutions group at Quovera Inc. Later on, as EVP of Business Intelligence and Business Performance Measurement at InfoSTEP, Sam was instrumental in establishing InfoSTEP as a formidable entity within the BI space, in the U.S. and India.


Steve Haney, Director of Data Transformation Tools—CS STARS

Steve HaneyAs Director of Data Transformation Tools, Steve Haney is responsible for the overall strategic direction, best practices and training, product delivery, and ongoing support for all data interfaces into and out of CS STARS' industry leading Risk Management software application. CS STARS manages data interfaces for over 800 clients involving over 300 different sources and layouts spanning over 25 countries. Prior to his current role, Steve was responsible for implementing and supporting large commercial insurance data transformation projects in roles spanning client management, business analysis, development, quality assurance, and ongoing support. Steve holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business as well as an Associate in Risk Management designation.


Lloyd Turley, Director of Technical & Business Solutions—Automatic Data Processing, Inc.

Lloyd TurleyLloyd has over 12 years of outsourced benefits administration experience at Automatic Data Processing, Inc. Providing COBRA, Spending Accounts, and Billing services to over 10,000 employers, Lloyd has a broad perspective on the HR and benefits administration needs of both large and small clients and how to provide that service in a cost effective manner. With the help of Pervasive Data Integrator, Lloyd has helped grow his service segments from a few hundred clients to thousands while simultaneously improving margin and expanding services. Lloyd holds a BBA (The University of Georgia) and a MBA (Mercer University) and has utilized Pervasive products and services since 2006.


Chris Cosgrove, Enterprise Architect—Jason's Deli

Chris CosgroveChris serves as Enterprise Architect with Jason’s Deli, with seven years of experience in restaurant technology. In this role, Chris worked to architect and deploy an advanced point of sale system for 135 of Jason's Deli locations in 2008. Once that was completed, his focus shifted to leveraging the data that Jason's was receiving from their point of sale systems to promote automation of manual processes and drive data-centric decision making. Most recently, Chris has led a Jason's team to successfully architect and implement Salesforce.com's CRM for the company’s sales team, replacing inconsistent processes with a unified performance and analytics platform to increase sales and efficiency throughout the company.


Gregg Sporar, Product Manager—Planview

Gregg SporarGregg is a Product Manager for Planview, where he leads definition, strategy, pricing, support, and collateral creation for Planview's industry-leading enterprise portfolio integration products. He has additional experience in the full life cycle of software development: specifying, designing, implementing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer software in both leadership and contributing roles. Prior to joining Planview, Gregg worked as a Senior Product Manager for SmartBear Software and performed all aspects of product management for its developer code review tools. Gregg has also worked with other technology companies like Sun Microsystems, i2 Technologies, Collaborative Technologies Corporation, and Compaq.


Doug Richards, Director of Professional Services—Pervasive Software

Doug RichardsAs Director of Pervasive Professional Services, Doug Richards directs consultants, architects and developers in creating data integration and data quality solutions that deliver high-impact business results while incorporating best practices and state-of-the-art technology. Doug joined Pervasive in 2011 following various senior management roles heading client services and support teams at Digby and QuickArrow. He has also served as a Remote Trader at Last Atlantis Capital; a Senior Sales Consultant for Streamsoft; and a Senior Consultant for Deloitte Consulting and PriceWaterhouse. Doug holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois.


Richard White, CEO—UserVoice

Richard WhiteRichard White is the founder and CEO of UserVoice, where he focuses on making sexy products for un-sexy markets such as customer service. Prior to UserVoice, Richard was the lead designer on Kiko.com, a Y-Combinator-funded calendaring product that drew praise for its clean design, which was sold on eBay for $258K. After Kiko, Richard founded SlimTimer, simple time tracking for freelancers, where he experimented with name-your-own-price freemium models. The common thread throughout all these ventures is Richard’s passion for building wonderfully simple productivity tools with delightful user experiences. He’s proud to say that his works give people more time to waste rather than waste more of their time. Richard’s expertise lies in UI design & UX but in a past life he graduated with BS in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.


Bill Jacaruso, Senior Director of Pervasive DataCloud—Pervasive Software

Bill JacarusoBill is a cloud technology innovator responsible for architecting and delivering the Pervasive DataCloud platform for IaaS (Integration as a Service). With more than 15 years’ experience, Bill has been instrumental in the architecture, development and delivery of solutions for organizations including Mutual of Omaha, Novell, American Express and EDS. In addition, Bill has developed software for Rockwell International, the FAA and Tracor Flight Systems and has managed the development of intellectual property at several software firms including ePartners and Ziegner Technologies. Bill holds a M.S. in IT Management from Touro University International and a B.S. in Management Information Systems from The University of Texas at Austin. He is an active thought leader and public speaker, including recent presentations at the Fourth Annual SaaS Cloud Computing Symposium,CloudWorld, SIIA OnDemand, the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, InnoTech, and CloudCamp Austin.


Peter Vogel, Principal Engineer—Intuit

Peter VogelPeter Vogel is a Principal Engineer at Intuit and originator of the Intuit Partner Platform. His 11 year career at Intuit has been focused on helping 3rd party developers integrate applications with Intuit’s flagship accounting products QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online. Peter has been a software engineering professional for over 25 years where his goal has always been to make technology for the “big” companies accessible to smaller companies, from supercomputers to accelerated graphics and video and now business IT. Peter has written many QuickBooks integrations for Intuit and has consulted with 3rd parties building hundreds of applications to work with QuickBooks products, he is currently technical lead for Intuit’s Salesforce for QuickBooks project that extensively utilizes the Pervasive Datacloud. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
